Shivsena’s kamgar policies and main teachings are based on this thinking. In Bharatiya Kamgar Sena, Late Shri. Dattaji Salvi were elected as the chairman and Late Shri. Arun Mehta were elected as secretary who later became Kamgar Mantri (Workers Minister). At that time, Shri. Joshi were looking for “Karyalay Pramukh” meaning “Office Chief”. The saffron flag of Bharatiya Kamgar Sena was first hoisted in “Aryan Brush Company” located in Andheri, later the saffron flag was hoisted back to back in ‘Excel’ and ‘T. Maneklaal Companies’. Initial 2-4 years were spent in creating a firm identity. On one side Communists as well as other unions members were outside the premises whereas Shivasainiks and ‘Lal bavata’ members were inside was the picture of those days. While starting the protest for ‘Bhumiputra’ (Son of Soil) jobs, Shviasainik Workers were appealed to flutter Saffron inside industry. This had a magnificent effect. Workers started turning towards Bharatiya Kamgar Sena and most of the industries besides Central Western Railway Lines were under the hoist of Saffron. The whole Workers World turned to be ‘Bhagavamay’ (Saffron). The place at Purandare Wadi turned to be insufficient and hence at the beginning of the year 1971 Bharatiya Kamgar Sena office was shifted to Thakurdwar. Shvisena leader Hon.
